Responsibilities:
- Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
- Welding using the correct materials to join the metals together.
- Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or machinery to be used.
- Set up components for welding.
- Align components using callipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
- Report damages to machines and equipment.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working as a Welder.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- An awareness of safety procedures.
