Associate - Audit

The Role:

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Audit Associate to join the team and ensure client Auditing requirements are met. 

Duties and Responsibilities

- Providing Audit and Financial Reporting services of different entities operating within various industries. 

- Ensuring that all audits are carried out according to deadline. 

- Supporting Audit Partners, Managers and Associates in day-to-day activities. 

- Apply audit standards through practical application, ensuring compliance with best practice. 

- Assist in client meetings to discuss audit findings. 

- Support the Audit team in other duties when necessary. 

Required Skills and attributes:

- Possess an appropriate combination of technical expertise in fields such as auditing, accounting, finance, & technology. 

- Good communication skills and level of English, and ideally Maltese. 

- Sound working knowledge of MS Excel software. 

- Experience using SAGE and XERO accounting software packages would be beneficial. 

- Ability to work well in a team. 

- Accurate with work and highly attentive to detail. 

- Good problem solver and quick to learn. 

- Knowledgeable in IFRSs and GAPSME, and ISAs. 

Academic and Experience:

- Currently pursuing the ACCA qualification, or recently qualified; or holding an Accounting / Finance Degree. 

- At least 1 years’ experience in an audit and accounts position, ideally within a Corporate Accounting firm.
